ENHANCED CONTENT

With the upcoming release of a new line of smokeless fire pits, branded Hot Shot, GHP’s product team needed some dynamic content to display on their online product page. In particular, they wanted to graphically detail the unit’s CleanAir Technology, which directs airflow from the base of the fire pit and out through a series of exit points designed to eliminate smoke.

We determined that a static image would not accurately depict this technical feature. Therefore, I was tasked with creating an animated GIF that could clearly breakdown the unit’s inner function and airflow distribution.

 01. FIRST DRAFT

For the first draft, I began with a simple frame by frame animation to conceptualize the flow air and the overall balance of the composition.

 02. SECOND DRAFT

Using After Effects, I translated my original concept into a cleaner, smoother animation that matched the style of our other brand assets.

 03. FINAL DRAFT

Using the notes from my Creative director, I refined the appearance of the arrows and applied a more constant stream of airflow.
